I grew up in Southern California and studied at the Pasadena Art Center. I dreamt of working in animation as a theory artist but was discouraged with the 3-D animation taking over. This was in the 1990s and at that time there were massive layoffs of 2d animators. I had an opportunity to teach animation in Bangalore India. I opened an animation school in a small boutique studio hoping that I would be able to do more traditional animation. And because of Covid I do not travel to India as much but work remotely teaching students from all over the world as well as doing studio work
