When I was younger, I loved to draw, like most kids do. I started out in classrooms I’m sure, doodling during art time, drawing pictures of myself and friends. I branched out eventually drawing pictures for my parents, never stick figures though. I would go all out drawing their full body likenesses with backgrounds. One most notable image I drew was my father being eaten by buffalo wings and celery, his favorite meal, though I’m not so sure about the celery. As time went on I continued to draw. I would look up pictures of characters and draw them out in the same styles. Whenever I created a character of my own they were never human based. I’d base them on objects or sayings. I created a little radio head robot that I’m still proud of. But I was never just an artist who would draw, I would write too. There were so many stories I wanted to tell, still are. I was a little nerd though, so I didn’t always stick with drawing. I would sometimes be so focused with school work and projects and the free time I had would be used to explore on youtube or watch Bakugan online. Lucky for me art class is a thing, so I was able to keep drawing and learning and working on art projects. I studied engineering in highschool, so I learned to model and had a lot of fun, but also some stress. Art’s not always easy and you don’t always choose your projects, but in the end it's always enjoyable and I love it. I picked up art again in junior year of college, halfway through a criminology major and fine arts minor. A major pivot from my post college plan of becoming an FBI special agent, I went back to my roots, back to what I love, where my passion is, what I’m gonna spend the rest of my life doing, creating cool art and great stories. I’m so excited!
