Biography
I was born in Senegal and grew up in several African countries before settling in France in my teenage years.
I always had a vivid imagination and was firstly drawn to digital art when Jurassic Park was released (yes, the 1993 version). But I only started playing with a tablet when I entered college in 2001. It soon became my main mean of creation. But my University (or my teachers) wasn't really open to such a technology, so I've mainly focused on traditional techniques back then. It took me years of personal practice to find my style with the digital medium and consider myself good enough to work in the creative industry.
Soon after graduating (M.A in Visual Arts), a matter of fact led me to become a Junior Lecturer in University. I started my freelance career at the same time. First as a web designer and developer, trying to add some illustration or animation whenever my clients agreed.
With each project, I slowly switched to what is now know as motion design (circa 2010), to write, direct and produce short animations for clients and communication agencies.
I now work as a freelance illustrator, story/concept artist and as a teacher, while pursuing a visual art practice.
