Biography

Hi, I’m John Cliff Alvarez - a self-taught visual artist and graphic designer who passionately enjoys working on a diverse and wide variety of visual development projects; primarily specializing in character design and illustration. I bring over 20 years of problem-solving experience to any project, with illustration skills grounded in traditional media but adapted to the latest digital tools and techniques, including photo bashing and digital painting. I'm available for remote, freelance, consulting, and full-time in-house opportunities, that will help improve my concept, design, and director skills through exhilarating yet challenging projects in the entertainment industry. I love to travel - experiencing new places that grant me with a greater visual vocabulary and fueling my creativity to produce more extensively distinctive ideas for my concepts and projects. When I’m not busy with client work, I spend most of my time working on personal projects, drawing for fun, studying and actively progressing on my personal fitness, traveling abroad, listening to an eclectic variety of music, watching movies, and reading an endless amount of comics and books I find fascinating. Currently based in Florida, I am always looking for new opportunities. Resume available upon request. I'm available for projects big and small.
