As a child of the 80s, Jill’s love of animation and games began with watching classic animated kid's tv shows like The Smurfs, He-Man and Gummi Bears. She also played Horace Goes Skiing and Paperboy obsessively on the ZX Spectrum.

After graduating with a degree in English and Sociology, Jill went on to Line Produce numerous international children's animated TV series with Absolute Digital Pictures, before joining Axis Studios where she remained for 12 years, heading up studio, facilities, HR, crew and talent teams through the years.

After joining Mooncolony in 2022, Jill is currently Head of People, and with a background in production and studio operations, she has a real understanding of how creative teams work day to day. Having spent her career in animation and games, she knows what it takes to bring artists, producers, and leadership together to make great work. She leads hiring across the studio, from art and animation to production, marketing and management, helping to build thoughtful, talented teams that can deliver ambitious projects without losing sight of the people behind them.

Alongside recruitment, Jill looks after the studio’s HR and people strategy, supporting everything from team development and performance to culture and wellbeing. She works closely with managers and artists alike, offering practical guidance, honest conversations, and steady support. At heart, she cares about creating an environment where people feel valued, challenged and able to do their best work, strengthening both the studio and the individuals within it.
