I am a passionate professional 2D artist, illustrator, and graphic designer with over four years of experience. I have experience in children's book illustration, comic book illustration, and general graphic design tasks including designing Business cards, Letterheads, Logos, and Flyers. I use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign to design and create high quality work. In 2009, I acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Malawi where I studied art and music. Later in 2020, I graduated from Ruth Prowse School of Art in Cape Town, South, with a National Diploma in Visual Communication (Graphic Design). In 2021, I was commissioned by BK book publishers to illustrate the book 'Archive of Kindness by Dr. Jess Auerbach, Associate at the University of Cape Town town. The book is a collection of short stories from South Africa portraying acts of kindness during the Covid 19 period. In 2022, the book went on to become one of South Africa's best-sellers. I have also done consultant work as a Designer and Illustrator coach for Global Book Alliance in Malawi. In this project, I was tasked to train designers and illustrators on how to create engaging fifty children's books on both fiction and nonfiction books. Growing up in a society that struggles to accept art as an important tool for society, my goal is to become an art educator and advocate for art education in Malawi.
