My name is Jaykishan Rajesh Patel But you can call me Jay. I am a visual development artist who is interested in being part of creative animated story-telling. I’ve always enjoyed the diverse and creative ways of storytelling through animation. My interest began with my parents telling me ancient Indian tales that ignited my imagination and love of storytelling. I have always admired stories that transformed my point of view and made me feel for the characters on screen. This is what has made me fall in love with animation. In May of 2020, I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) where I majored in Animation. After Graduation, I spent time learning using online courses from some of my favorite artists such as Lynn Chen, Jojo Lu, Zach Retz, and Chris Ables. All the while collaborating on the TV show Pitches, Film Concept development, and Creating shorts. After attending Lightbox 2021, it's been a journey to become a stronger artist. During the various self-guided courses and freelance projects, I have built a network of strong relationships that have helped me become even more confident in my art.
