Biography
Heikki Kossi is a foley artist and sound designer, who has worked in more than 400 international film productions since 2001. He is running his own studio H5 Film Sound Ltd. in Finland. The projects he has been working on have won Academy Award (Sound of Metal, Best Sound 2022), Golden Reel 2021 (The Underground Railroad), César for Best Animation Film (The Little Prince 2016), British Independent Film Awards for the Best Technical achievement for Sound design (Berberian Sound Studio 2012), an Academy Award nominations for Best Documentary Film (Last men in Aleppo 2018, The Cave 2020, A House Made of Splinters 2023) and Best Short Film (Do I have to take care of everything, 2014). Several films have also been awarded in prestigious festivals, such as Cannes, Venice, SXSW, Sundance, Berlin, Chicago Film Festival, IDFA and BIFA. He also worked as foley artist at Skywalker Sound years 2023-25 (F1, How to train your dragon, Viktor, Nosferatu, Inside Out 2).
Heikki Kossi is known for his ability to extraordinary creativity and he is able to think “out of the box”.
