I am a recent graduate of Bournemouth University's National Centre for Computer Animation, with a small amount of freelance experience in the VFX industry.

Layout and Previs are departments that encompass everything I love about 3D, combining the technology of CG software with traditional filmmaking qualities like cameras and editing to tell a story effectively. I have felt fulfilled in past projects being responsible for clean scene setups, and creating the building blocks that others in the pipeline can use as the basis for their incredible work.

My experience is almost entirely in layout for full CG animation, but I appreciate that the role is quite different in a VFX context, so I am keen to connect with VFX professionals who can help me learn more about this area. I am still at a very early stage in my career, and would love to use the Career Camp to build connections with those in Animation and Visual Effects, so that I can learn what they value for those coming in at junior levels to their studios.

I also believe in the power of multidisciplinary creation across digital media, and would love to learn from the vast array of professionals and companies who are taking part in this event - from games, to photography, to architecture, I think there is something to be learned from everybody.
