I'm from Puerto Rico, born and raised here; my passion for animation started when I was a child. As I grew I fell in love with live-action films and so when it came time to enroll in a university I decided to attend film school, letting my dream to work in animation take the backseat for a while. In my senior year, I got to work as a Production Assistant, Art Department Assistant, and Assistant Director. I take pride in my work as Assistant Director; I applied all the organizational, time management, logistic handling, problem-solving, and team managing skills I previously acquired. I'm also grateful that I had the opportunity to collaborate on diverse projects ranging from a feature film, reality tv show, music video, and a car commercial all before I had even graduated! I obtained my B.A. in Digital Film Production in June 2017 and two months later everything came GRINDING to a halt. Two hurricanes hit the island back to back, the latter being Category 5 Hurricane Maria. It devastated the island and took my career momentum with it, but I didn't give up. I got up and began doing freelance videography for a local start-up, honing my client management skills. Last year I decided to make the jump from live-action to animation, I started reaching out to people in the industry. Cut to now and I've networked with people from some of the major studios in the US and Canada, became a Latinx in Animation member, a Rise Up Animation mentee, and am ready to start my career in animation!
