Hi! My name is Francesca. I was born in southern Italy (Sicily). I spent my childhood reading, drawing and creating stories, little objects in polymer clay, animations with Nintendo DSI. 

Growing up, I attended the three years illustration course at Nemo Academy in Florence. I learned the artistic fundamentals and was lucky enough to take part to workshops with great artists as Sandro Cleuzo, JP Vine, Aurélien Predal, Chiara Benedetti, John Nevarez, Lindsey Olivares. During school, I realized I enjoy working with colours to show emotions and setting moods. I love building up characters with fragilities and strenghts and realizing illustrations about books or movies. My greatest ispiration are animation movies - as Prince of Egypt, Corpse Bride and Princess Mononoke -, books from the past, italian culture and art, other countries' features, music and great stories. 

I'm currently attending Master Level 1 in Visual Development at IDEA Academy because I want to improve my art skills and better understand which field of the art industry I want to be part. At the moment I would like to be a character designer, a color artist or an illustrator. I'm also studying storyboard. 

I am very happy to attend THU Career Camp and get in touch with talented artists and recruiters. It would be amazing to receive feedback on my work and mentorship for the future days. Thank you,
