Raised and educated in L’Aquila, Italy, Fabrizio Mancinelli is an Italian composer, songwriter, and conductor whose international career spans film, television, animation, and concert music. His work has been produced for Paramount, Disney, Universal, Rai Cinema, Netflix, and other major studios, and has received widespread recognition, including nominations from the Society of Composers & Lyricists (SCL), the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, and the World Soundtrack Awards, as well as the 2025 IFMCA Award (International Film Music Critics Award). In 2025, he was also named International Composer of the Year at the Apulia Soundtrack Awards.

Among his most recent scores is Here After (Paramount, 2024), a thriller directed by Robert Salerno and starring Connie Britton, which earned him nominations at both the SCL Awards and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. His credits also include Growing Up with Nine Old Men (Disney), The Snow Queen 4: Mirrorlands (Wizart Animation, distributed by Universal), and orchestral conducting for Kris Bowers’ scores, including the Academy Award–winning Green Book, The Color Purple (Warner Bros.), and Haunted Mansion (Disney).

In 2022, Mancinelli wrote the original music and lyrics for the musical feature The Land of Dreams, earning nominations for the 2023 World Soundtrack Award and the SCL David Raksin Award. Other recent works include The Boat (Rai Cinema), Jailbird, Go for Grandma—which premiered at AFI Fest 2023 and won both the 2025 IFMCA Award and the 2025 Jerry Goldsmith Award—and “The Mouse Song” for Netflix’s Green Eggs and Ham, performed by Grammy and Tony Award winner Daveed Diggs.

His work in animation includes Mushka, directed by Disney Legend Andreas Deja, for which he composed the score in collaboration with Academy Award winner Richard M. Sherman (Mary Poppins). The project received the 2024 Hollywood Music in Media Award. He also scored Out of the Nest (Hollywood Music in Media Award winner and SCL Awards 2026 nominee), which premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2024; the Rockefeller Foundation–funded documentary Food 2050, narrated by Viola Davis (premiering at Sundance 2026); and the short documentary Jumpman, directed by Tom Dey, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was nominated for a 2024 Hollywood Music in Media Award.

Among his latest projects is Anuja, a live-action short directed by Adam J. Graves and produced by Mindy Kaling, Priyanka Chopra, Guneet Monga, Suchitra Mattai, Krushan Naik, and Netflix. The film won the HollyShorts Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.

Mancinelli’s artistic training was shaped by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Gian Carlo Menotti and Academy Award winner Luis Bacalov. He graduated with honors in Composition from the Conservatorio “A. Casella” in L’Aquila and also earned a Law degree with a thesis on copyright law . A Fulbright Fellow (2008), Sundance Film Music Fellow (2015), and BMI Conducting Fellow (2016), he is the founder of Fab Music, Inc., a music production company based in Glendale, California.

He is a voting member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars), the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (Emmys), and the Recording Academy (Grammys), and resides in Los Angeles with his family.
