Hello! I’m Evelin Suarez a spanish character designer and illustrator based in the Canary Islands, Spain. I grew up surrounded by animation movies, cartoons, videogames and constantly drawing, so it was a matter of time for me to make a living out of it. I always looking for opportunities that allow me to enhance my visual story-telling, grow, and flourish as a designer creating stories and characters that people can connect with, trying new things and working alongside other talented artists. I had a degree in Graphic Design at College of Art and Design Fernando Estévez (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain) which helped to train my visual eye and gave me a good foundation in terms of the use of composition, color theory, values, typography, photography… for my character design and illustration work later. Afterwards, I did the Expert Program of Character Design from U-tad, University Center of Technology and Digital Art (Madrid, Spain) where I got out of my comfort zone and has allowed to me to grow as an artist, refining my knowledge about character design, storytelling and my previous drawing skills. When I’m not working, drawing or just sketching, some of my other interests include playing video games, exploring outdoors and baking cookies.
