Biography
I'm a current robotics MSE candidate at the University of Pennsylvania (graduating this May '23) seeking to leverage both my lifetime of creative experience with technical skills acquired through my training as an engineer. This technical experience involves strong 3D math skills and an ability to translate theory to working code for robotic algorithms and computer graphics alike.
As a lifelong artist, I've explored the gamut of traditional and digital media - from subtle traditional media portraiture to vectorized graphic design in illustrator. Alongside my degree in engineering, I graduated with a minor in Art & Design, which afforded me more formal instruction on topics including color theory and digital multimedia design. During the height of the pandemic, having deferred Penn admission for one year, I successfully took on consistent work doing freelance graphic design and fine art commissions. In parallel with a busy robotics curriculum, my current art practice involves diligently maintaining a sketchbook to practice my craft and explore new ways of seeing.
Through my robotics program, I've had the opportunity to strengthen my programming prowess and flexibly explore applications of my skills outside of the tech industry. Namely, I've pivoted into some courses in the Computer Graphics and Game Technology curriculum and focused on computer graphics and physically-based rendering. As such, I'm eagerly seeking jobs in graphics programming, technical art, and similarly technical/creative roles in the game industry and others.
