My name is Erin Lydin, born November 1989 in Seattle WA. I grew up on Final Fantasy console games and various other RPGs. I graduated with a BA in Creative Writing in 2012 from Western Washington University, and of course, what else do you do with an Undergraduate Degree in English? Go into Customer Service! I very quickly realized that it is a natural strength I have, but after many years, I realized it no longer gave me the fulfillment it had when I was younger. So I decided to pivot in my career path when I was laid off in May of 2018. I went back to school in August of 2018, and have loved every moment. I started my career in the Games Industry at a small indie studio north of Seattle only a year ago (January 2021) In the past 3 years there has been lots of learning and growth, some real pain points, but it has completely changed the direction of not just my career, but also my life. I've met some of the most amazing people in this industry and have gained connections with people that I want to maintain for my entire lifetime--and I'm looking forward to developing more!
