My name is Erika Mascolo, I am Italian and I graduated in CG Animation at IED Rome, Istituto Europeo di Design, attaining a Bachelor’s Degree. The course I attended covered many topics so that I not only have knowledge of the Compositing field but also of the whole pipeline, since the course included both 2D and 3D.

After graduation, I started my career as a Digital Compositor in Rome and after a few months, I moved to Portugal to work full time for Nu Boyana FX. This has allowed me to put my Compositing skills into practice for the first time on internation projects, working on feature films and tv shows. After Covid hit, I moved back to Italy where I started working as a remote freelance. After working for SSVFX for a few months, I joined Union Visual Effects where I worked for almost two years.

Unfortunately, this difficult time this industry is facing, hit me as well. So, after a few months spent with Dupe Vfx and again with Union Visual Effects, I am now looking for a new opportunity. During these hard times, I have decided to enrolled into the Academy of Animated Arts to improve my lighting and comp skills specifically for the animation industry as I would love to work on Full CG/Animation projects.

I am confident that I can bring my passion and enthusiasm for learning and improving my skills with me to your company and help it grow its reputation bringing to life new stimulating stories.
