
Biography
Emma Koh (she/her) is a Korean American artist and filmmaker, born and raised in Southern California - specifically LA & the OC. She received her MFA from AFI's Production Design program (2014), as well as her MS from SCI Arc's F&E program (2021).
She was a recipient of the Tichi Wilkerson Kassel Scholarship by Women in Film in 2014, and art directed the Film Independent award winning film, "Spa Night".
Since graduating from AFI, Emma has worked in commercials, music videos, indie features, network television, as well as a producer in VFX & Arch Vis in NYC. She recently worked in Korea for most of 2022 as an art director for the upcoming Netflix series, XO Kitty. She currently resides in San Gabriel Valley, LA, continuing to explore the intersectionality of (speculative) design, cultural identity, and history through storytelling, art, and tech.
