Biography
Art has really shaped my life since high school. It took me 3 years and 3 attempts to get into what I thought was the school of my dreams: Sheridan Animation. It was the only animation school in Canada that gave a bachelor and I thought it was the sure fire way to becoming a great artist. However, that wasn't exactly what happened. I discovered that a fixed curriculum at school did not benefit me the way I had imagined. Instead, it bogged me down with assignments that had no correlation with my interests. After completing my 2nd year there, I left. Since then, I've managed to break into the animation industry as a background artist and worked on a variety of shows with very different styles. I've also been taking classes and participating in online communities to meet new artists and improve my artistic skillset. Being able to select the classes I want has been very rewarding and I've loved all the teachers I've had. My current career goal is to become a full time freelance visual development artist for featured studios.
