Emily Cerda
Hardsurface
Hello! I'm Emily and I am a 3D hard surface model and texture artist based in Los Angeles, California.
Biography
I love to do hard surface models and am looking to expand to doing organic modeling, such as characters and landscapes. I love to focus on props that tell its history through its look and design. The props I have worked on such as the knife, blade, and armor are my personal projects that I have a history with.
I am striving for photorealism in most of my work and am looking to other software such as UnReal for future content.
I like researching the history of an individual, prop, how an object works and functions. When I can add those tiny details of a personalized prop that is part of someone's identity or just model someone's identity it makes me really proud to sit back and know that a model has been done correctly and looks well on all angles.
I am passionate about modeling many props from different environments and cultures, whether that be horror, ancient, modern, or a simple day-to-day object. It all adds to telling a story to someone by providing physical clues of it and I love partaking in creating that story to life, which is why 3D modeling and texturing are my passion.
