Biography
Since I was little, one of the things that passionate me the most was art in all its forms and shapes. So when I grew up and learned about the 3D realm I was fascinated. I like to think that it is the perfect tool that lets you be a painter through textures, a sculptor with the modeling, an actor through animation, and even a director with the camara. It helps you develop a sense of composition, an incredible understanding of anatomy, the importance of acting and so much more.
Some of my personal experience within the field of animation would be my degree project, a 3D animated short film titled “The oven´s keeper” (El Guardián del Horno). It was inspired by an oral tradition within pottery artisans who believe in these keepers that work as their luck charms whenever they fire ceramics. With this in mind, this animated short film tells the story of Sami, an oven's keeper amulet that dreams of becoming a ceramist though he'll have to fight against himself to achieve that dream. The part of the process I enjoyed the most was the modelling and the texturing. This project taught me to value the process and to be open to any changes that will appear in the path.
