Illustrator & 2D Artist

I'm Elisa Varetti, Italian Illustrator and 2D Artist focused on Background Painting, Prop Design and color schemes.

• 2024 | 2D Background Assistant Supervisor for a team of 7/9 artists for a short animated movie which will be released in 2025
• 2024 | 2D Artist for an educationa animated video from storyboard, to colorscript, character design, layout and background painting
• 2023 | Lead Color Artist for Animando Production
• 2023 | 2D Character Designer for "My Pet Sea Dragon"
• 2022 -2023 | Former Mentee for both WIA Mentorship Program in VisDev for Animation with Mentor Vicki Pui and Rise Up Animation Mentee with Mentor Kamille Rodriguez and Bonnie Branson. My illustrations are featured in Annual 2023 and Annual 2022 by Autori di Immagini, Italian Illustrators’ Association.

Before working in this field I transitioned from a career as an Architect and worked as a Graphic Designer for a marketing agency while studying illustration.

I'm currently working in the children's publishing sector and with marketing agencies for editorial illustration.
