Collaboratively curated and published a graphic novel, "The Wonders of an HBCU". Had a book signing and has sold over 100 copies.

I'm interested in illustration and character design. I'm hoping for more advice on how to build a better portfolio and showcase the skills I've learned while working on my graphic novel story. At the moment, I'm looking for a mentor who can point me in the right direction because I know what I want to do but am not yet at the level where I want to be. If anyone can 'paint a picture' of what might happen if I take the right steps.
