I’m Dion, a Filipino-American Story Artist from San Diego. I graduated and worked as an electrical engineer consultant designing hospitals up until 2020 where I got exposure to Storyboarding for TV Animation through the Concept Design Academy (2020-current) practicing my craft under experienced story artists such as Trey Buongiorno and Max Perkins. As well as studying under character designers Kevin Chen and Joshua James Shaw. Infatuated with the amount of interpretation it takes to understand characters and their motivations in story, I found something empathetically rewarding about the craft that I felt I was missing as an engineer. With my love for movies, comics and manga, my goal is to help create clear impressionable sequences that inspire and entertain audiences. In my free time, I climb and practice DM’ing to D&D sessions.
