Throughtout my 25 years of existence in this Earth, I have lived and learned a lot about the mechanics of this world and, mostly, of the people that had come acrossed with me. Living all my live in Coimbra, Portugal, I had a somewhat happy childhood with my grandmother, mother and uncles. I have attended a catholic school from the end of elementary school (an awesome school, by the way) until my first year at University of Coimbra (another awesome school, I advise anyone to visit if possible). Catholic school was OK I guess, but I wished I could have enjoyed it's time better, and I still have a ambivalent view of the Cristianism, but that's a conversation to another day. In my time at the University, where I was studying and working in Biology only because I liked the Nature and I had no idea of what was going to do once I went to University, it was at this time that I began to expand my horizons of what life could actually offer to someone like me. From knowing new and different people from the entire country and world as far as having some of the greastest experiences of my life, I really had the most wonderful time of my life during this four years, never without it's unfortunate events, of course. After the conclusion of my studies by 2019, I decided, by some reasons that aren't necessary to be discussed here, take some time to myself and started, a few months later, my first job as assistent of a telemarketing call center of a company now known as Altice Portugal during 1 year and a half. By the end of this time, I had become quite good at it, and what I had learned most importantly was how to deal and talk with different types of people of different ages and life experiences, in and out of the phone calls, and the ethics and behavior that we are supposed to have in a work place, something that in this generation is difficult to archieve right at their first job, I think. It was a good "School of life", as we in the Altice Group like to call. Before I ended my time as a colaborator in this company, I started to attend a professional course lectured by Univerisade Aberta, the only valid on-line University of Portugal, called "CINEMA – DO PENSAMENTO À AÇÃO". In this course, during an entire year, me and other people with different backgrounds and ages, most of them connected in someway to the cinema, where we have learned how to make a movie from ground zero until the end product being exibited in the cinemas, while also making 2 shorts student's film at Ponte de Lima, Portugal: a pure ficcion set on present times and on the 18th-century, and a docufiction (my actual movie, more details in the portfolio section) where I participated in the screenwriting, was the continuity-person (responsable for organizing and writing down the times and the number of scenes shooted during the film's shooting), and was involved in the construct and creativity major decisions of the group of the students involved with this work. I had an unforgettable time, both by the good experiences and the new learnings, as well as the dont's on what to avoid while doing a film, and how to deal with internal conflits and artistic differences. Now I know how that can be a hand full, jeez. Never the less, I don't regret it. Besides all this, to finally conclude this major testement, i just want to say that I have also made a lot of volunteer work in my city with homeless people during my time at the University and catholic school (no need for me to say it, but makes part of my life's story, not embarassed of it, and always brings a nice touch). I have also made judo and fighted boxing for years on occasion. But since Rocky Balboa already exists, this isn't for much relavance, after all. Right now, I'm taking an advanced English course and begginers Italian course at the same University mencioned before to expand my linguistic capacities and to improve better opportunities of finding work, whatever direction my life will take in the future.
