Trainee
Video game producer student with experience in media production, sales, and training skills
Biography
Hi, I'm Diego Segovia — I'm here to become a producer, and this is my story:
I studied a HNC in Audiovisual Production and later completed a Master's Degree in Film Production and Screenwriting. My final master's project, Vikings vs Zombies, was awarded Best Project at the school. After working on several smaller productions, I took a turn and joined a financial company in sales, where I was promoted to team manager within three years, leading the most successful promotion nationwide.
Four years later, I decided it was time for a change. I moved up north to learn English and seek new experiences. I spent a year in Manchester working as a cook — something I’m truly passionate about — and two more years in Dublin, first as a waiter and then, within six months, as a restaurant manager.
Once in Dublin, I began studying video game production on my own and joined an international indie team, where I collaborated for six months as a producer. I organized meetings, managed the team in Unity, handled documentation and supported the production pipeline using tools like Trello and Scrum methods.
Currently, I work in a vehicle logistics company, where I’m responsible for analyzing driver performance and KPIs — a data-driven mindset that I know is essential for production roles.
Now, I'm looking for the opportunity to prove that I can be a valuable addition to a production team in the video game industry.
