Biography

I was born in 1989, four days before the fall of a notorious wall, and grew up in Tondela, Portugal. I studied Painting in Porto's Fine Art Faculty and after that I took my Masters in Illustration in ISEC of Lisbon. I am a freelance illustrator and my work moves between the fields of painting, drawing, illustration, comics (not specifically in this order of importance). My main line of work lies in the elaboration of historical interpretation content for publishers and museums. I have been exhibiting individually and collectively since 2009. Among others, I was approached to make an individual exhibiton in 2016 called: "Frente, 1914-1919", a large project about the First World War comissioned by the Museum of the city of Carregal do Sal, Portugal. I'm a member of the Grupo do Risco Association since 2013. It is a Portuguese non-profit organization composed of artists wich aims to promote environmental values among the public through the use of a variety of artistic forms that include drawing and painting, usually in a sketchbook, but also photography and video. In 2015 we went to Morocco in worder to make a large survey of the Portuguese architectural heritage.
