Biography
Finishing up my MA in September I am looking for my break into the industry primarily as a concept artist. I am really passionate about game design and the process of making video games in general. I also have practice in creating game-ready models and often use UE4 for in-game renders. I think as an Enivronement Concept Artist it's important to be able to understand the processors of how the player moves through an environment so that I as the visual artist can assist the designer in creating an interesting game space. Although I don't do a lot of illustrative work I do enjoy visual storytelling and creating interesting spaces and want to create unique, interesting spaces that the audience will remember. I'm a big fan of 80's anime and anime movies in general as I think that era had a really strong, interesting understanding of visual design that supports the movement of the narrative. Every detail and elements of a design or illustration are important.
My favourite videogames are ones where the art style support the gameplay. The best example of this would be Team Fortress 2. I think that game is a treasure trove and interesting visual design decisions which support the gameplay. I aspire to create interesting games with interesting places.
