As writer-director(-to-be), I’m a storyteller who didn’t want to choose between visuals and text. My graduationfilm Tidy Town has been screened at various festivals such as the Netherlands Film Festival and the Giffonni Film Festival in Italy. It was nominated for best animation at Cinekid (2020) and Shortcutz (2021) and won the Noorderkroon award for best student film at the Noordelijk Film Festival. My new film concept Pupatinea written and directed by me and produced by Valk Productions - a 2D animated dark fairytale about cooping with trauma - was selected in 2020 for the Netherlands Film Festival talent days and script & score. I like to explore realistic themes such as the conflict between the self and the mind by using atmosphere and symbolism and by placing these themes in surrealistic fantasy worlds.
