Biography
I am Clara Ge, based in Wellington, New Zealand, a third-year undergraduate student at Victoria University of Wellington. My main major is Computer Graphics and I am passionate about VFX. My second major is Computer Science with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence, as I believe AI can be very helpful in the future. I have a diploma at Shanghai Vancouver Film School majoring in 3D Animation and Visual Effects, focusing on VFX as well. I have done a few projects in different software and I am learning new software by myself like Houdini. I would love to use both my technical and creative knowledge to create visuals.
I understand the 3D production pipeline and all the processes needed for a successful outcome. I have knowledge of all aspects of 3D production, such as modelling, animation and rigging. I am familiar with Maya, Substance Painter, Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop, Nuke, and I have spent time learning Blender and Houdini and so on.
In the programming aspect, I have made a small pixel 2D game using Java with Processing, and quite a few creative coding arts. I am always passionate about using code to create visually pleasing and interesting art. I am also learning C++ and OpenGL and the basis of the 3D world in computers, such as ray tracing and instancing.
