Growing up I was one of those kids who was always doodling in the margins of my school work and rushing home to watch the afternoon cartoons. Fast forward to my senior year of high school and I was still drawing in the margins, but now I knew what I wanted to do in life, learn about and work in animation. Upon graduating from high school, I attended junior college, getting my general education classes out of the way. Once completed, I transferred to Cal State Fullerton where I concentrated on learning storyboarding and character animation. I learned so much with my time in school and upon graduating in 2018, I thought I was ready to enter the animation industry. Little did I know that it was going to be much more of a challenge. I continued to work on my portfolio, which helped me get interviews and a few jobs in production, but nothing in the way of working in TV animation. I am not someone who gives up on their goals, so knowing there was more to learn about my craft, I decided to enrolled in Fullerton College in 2021 to further develop my skills. I am excited to be back in school, building a stronger foundation that will hopefully allow me to be a part of the animation industry one day. I believe it is with my internal drive and love for animation, that I will finally reach my goal of being a storyboard artist or revisionist in animation.
