Biography

Got into 3D art during trade school my junior and senior year of high school. Did every part of the pipeline from coding, to modeling, to rigging, to animating, to figuring out how to package the project. When I actually decided what I wanted to do my brain went back to rigging. I became my class's only rigger my junior year. In my senior year, I was able to join a team that had an amazing modeler and animator. As the beginning months went on we were able to fully round out our team. Our team was able to win the 2017 48 hour Gamejam that our department put on. When I got to SCAD, the love I had for 3D art grew. With the animation program being as broad as it was I was exposed to other aspects of the pipeline that I didn't know was possible. Spring quarter of my junior year I did a collab class with 20 other students. I've had friends try producing and loved it so I tried for that quarter. The class ended up doing a hybrid short with myself serving as the producer and lead rigger. The project didn't end up being finished due to the ego's not being able to compromise but because of that experience, I knew production was what I wanted to do. Got the professor's backing to do production then too which was the major tipping point. In my senior year, we were tasked with doing a short with a completely different crew. Being able to work with people that I haven't ever met before was amazing. The crew clicked very quickly and was able to work very efficiently. There were ups and downs to the production but that only made my love for production grow, working through those issues gave me the courage to continue on with production. I couldn't be more proud of a production. Check out the website when you have the time. lumberjackandthewooodpecker.com
