Hello! I'm a 2D game artist currently working for Eduplaytion :) I love dogs, games and traveling.

Biography

I have started my journey observing characters from video-games, movies, and animes that I loved and giving them new adventures and stories, making several little comics about them. That started even before I could get my tiny hands on a drawing tablet, heck, even before we could even share a piece of information on the internet. Needless to say, I have discovered a whole new world when I joined the site “Neopets” and decided I wanted to work for them for a living. Mini Carol then went on to bother her parents asking for a simple tablet pen, so she could start making new Neopets, drawing the pets she admired and sharing them with all her NeoFriends.

As I was always a self driven learner, I went looking for tutorials, learned how to use photoshop, illustrator and I have even dive into the world of CSS and HTML. Through the years, I honed my skills and set a goal to, one day, be a solo developer for a cute and cozy game about animals, inspired by all the stories my father used to tell me before bedtime. I have started working for children's books, as that could align my passion for telling stories to character and environment design. A characteristic that I never let pass through my creations is the “soul” of the universe. Every character has a name, and a universe they live in. For me, it's really important to convey that through my pieces.

With my dedication, eagerness to learn and my set of skills, I have been studying art since 2013, when I first got into Uni. In 2015, I changed courses from visual design to visual arts, worked in museums and developed a love for classical arts and crafts. Graduated with honors and got into many artists' alleys bringing my characters and love for digital art, comics, games and cartoons to a broader audience. Then, I have started working with small indie developers, launching games like Puppy-Pop for IOS, and I have worked alongside a great Sound Designer to create "Sound Town" a game for disabled children, engaging with numerous charity projects in the UK. Nowadays, I have been working for 2 years for a company called Eduplaytion, creating a fun way for children to learn math, as a 2D Artist, that delves into UX/UI as well as doing some Technical Art. As a start-up, you have to take different hats at different times, depending on occasion, and my passion for learning new stuff helped me adjust in any task I was assigned to.

Mixing learning with great visuals is what I do right now, and I hope to connect with more people that are passionate about creating universes, games and engaging projects for everyone.
