Carly Gillham grew up in the English countryside and lives in the UK today. Carly attended the University of Gloucestershire where she received a BA and MA in illustration, she has also taken various online courses to expand her knowledge in art and storytelling. Carly has always been the arty kid, but her first experience with her artwork being recognised was when she won a Christmas cake illustration contest as a child. This sparked Carly's confidence and intrigue to discover more about what art can do. Influenced by movies like 'The last unicorn', various books and the artists that bring the stories to life, with there illustrations inspired Carly even more in to her adulthood. It was then that she realised she wanted to pursue her career as an artist. Carly wants to tell stories with her art to sprinkle a sense of intrigue and wonder into the stories she tells, whether that be with her character designs, a comic or a single image illustration.
