I, Çağla Irmak Badem, was born in 1999 in İstanbul, Turkey where I still live and study. I am junior Communication Design at Ozyegin University. I am enthused to create mixed-media animations on the subject of environmental, social, and psychological issues because I think sharing knowledge leads to wider understanding and empathy. A walk begins on the path of love and discovery, which I believe are the unique values ​​of life and being human. Therefore, I want to embrace animation to have a part in contributing to the empathy between people, nature, and the universe. I am eager to take part in every part of the animation production process. Apart from my curricular activities, I try to create space for myself to experiment where I learn new software programs. I have a strong passion for painting; I like to work with watercolor and acrylic paintings where I feel that I can express myself in a very transparent way by creating abstract images. I am currently working as an artist assistant at Ismet Doğan's Art Atelier, where I am responsible for shooting and editing videos, photographs and in archiving and documenting the artworks of the artist, İsmet Doğan who is a contemporary artist. Also, I enjoy experimenting with arts, I am doing a liquid light performance which I am experimenting visualization with fluids, overhead projector, and reflective surfaces. In the coming months, I will be presenting my performance in an art exhibition, where I also will be presenting generative artwork on the subject of gender equality.
