I have trained visual development and background paint at the Academy of Art University. I have developed my strong drawing skill, eyes to see accurate forms, and imagination to make believable characters/stories as well. On top of that, my strongest skill at the most is fundamental principles such as color, shape design, and lighting. Having worked in a small animation company, Candy FNC, in Korea as a background painter, I have accomplished several background designs and paintings for TV animation under the art director's instruction. For five months, I had a project which is making a popular webtoon from Kakao called ‘In Your Dream’ to animation series on streaming. I worked as a background designer, painter, and concept artist not only did I create a few venues according to the script such as a wedding hall, café, street, etc, which were general concept ideas for the environment of animation but also learned how to manage projects in time. I believe there is a power the stories can be told by drawing. I try to interpret my deepest thoughts, warm touches, and people’s desires into stories. My ultimate goal would be for my art to give audiences warm-hearted feelings and evoke nice memories in them through drawings including lines, shapes, light, or value rather than spoken.
