Professional Journey
Hey there! I'm Bernat, a software engineer with a passion for creating awesome mobile games. I've been part of the gaming world for over 14 years, and I love every bit of it. Since 2015, I've been working at King, where I've had the chance to work on some amazing titles like Candy Crush Saga and Bubble Witch 3. My main jam is C++, and it's been a blast optimizing and developing these games to make sure they run smoothly and keep players hooked.
Before joining King, I spent some great years at Social Point. I worked on Dragon City for iOS and Android, which was a fantastic experience. I also dabbled in creating games for Facebook, which added a nice variety to my projects.
I started my career as a freelancer, working on all sorts of web, multimedia, and game development projects. It gave me a solid foundation in various programming languages and platforms, which has been super useful in my career.
Education
I studied Multimedia at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and got specialized diplomas from Escuela de Medios Audiovisuales (EMAV) in Barcelona. Despite my formal education, most of my knowledge comes from being self-taught. I've gained a lot from reading proficiency books and using online learning platforms. This autodidactic approach has kept me on the cutting edge of technology and game development.
Skills and Expertise
I'm pretty handy with a bunch of programming languages and tools, but C++ is my main focus. I also know C#, Python, Java, Unity, iOS, Android, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. My work at King has really showcased my C++ skills, helping me make some of the best mobile games out there.
Languages
I speak Catalan, Spanish and English.
