Biography
I lived in munich for most of my live. Fortunately i had the oportunity to travel in my youth quite a bit and see all kinds of Different Art, be it in architecture, movies and especially comics, which were my trusty companion for most of my life.
My Art Demon took hold of me fairly late I would say, in my early 20's. At this point the temptation of actually trying to make things i love so much looking at all the time was to great to resist and the voice that told me "you need to be talented" has gotten quieter.
Eversince i tried to get my hands on everything that will teach me more about art.
I started out with classical youtube Proko Videos, did a little of Drawabox here and there and practiced the general Art Fundamentals. Always with the goal in mind to actually making that cool comic idea i had.
After i took a Mentorship from Steven Zapata, i realised that just grinding skills isn't gonna get me anywhere if i dont "also" make the pictures, make the things i wanna make. This was the actual start of my passion project, you'll gonna see probably most prominent in my Portfolio.
It's working title is "Welcome to hell", strongly influenced by the divine Comedy and modern Dark Fantasy, but also with strong influence from french comics, and their humor.
My other heurica that i got from Art, was when i learned that it can be an actual Job.
"There is someone who thought of this cool character or this environment you love so dearly".
Ever since i was made aware of this i knew that this was the career path i wanted to pursue, especially since designing as a general concept was always something i took keen interest in.
So i try to pursue that as well. I took a Summer School like Mentorship last year from the Concept Artist
Hardy Fowler. The program is still going and i noticed a lot of changes in my practice, but i still want to learn and build a stronger portfolio, which is gonna take me a while, i think.
During that time i got involved in some Art-Communities where we would share pictures, experiences and thoughts, which became a really central part of the Practice for me.
Talking with people their and talking with Art Pro's i noticed i could also engage myself more in the Art world without directly "being on the market". Going to Conventions talking to Artists in real life and attending Classes seemed to be the next Step in my Journey.
Which brings me to why i am here.
So thank you who's reading this for your time, thank you for drawing and making art and i'd love to get to know this community better and learn, from and with you all.
Sincerely
Bent

Work Experience
2024 – 2024
UI/UX Designer
SWM (Stadtwerke München) (Munich)
2019 – 2024
Personal Assistance for handicapped People
Freelance (Munich)
I worked several years for a family of which son and daughter were both handicapped. My main duty was to substitute their bodies in various ways. In this time my main focus became art as the handicapped son, a diplomated computer scientist was working with 3D Models, which immediately caught my eye. His sister for whom i worked with later on had a PHD in Law. I wrote juristic texts with her, which believe enhanced my writing skills greatly.
Education
2020 – 2024
Bachelors
LMU (Ludwigs-Maximillians-University)
Computerscience (Focus Computergraphics)
As i learned about wanting to be an Artist fairly late i got kinda thrown into University with no real direction.
Initially i studied psychology, which i still really love to study and read about in free time, but i soon noticed that the everyday clinical live wasnt for me. I started working for handicapped people and eventually found some purpose along the way, being an Artist. However the opportunity to learn the kind of Art i was interested in were scarce in my city and i couldn't afford to move.
So i took the advice from my mentor at that time and startet studying computer science and took every course that was remotely related to gaming, game development or any kind of production related course i could find.
