Benji Barlow
3D Art
Heyo! I am a junior digital artist who focusses on 2D art/design and 3D lighting who currently works at a small studio based in Sydney, Australia. Thanks for peaking at my work and have a great day!
Biography
Like most artists I've been drawing since I was a little lad but never really thought that it would become my career.
Then in 2020 after I got out of school, I was playing Doom Eternal when I thought that it would be pretty cool to say that I had a part in making something amazing like that game that other people would play and enjoy.
I looked at my skills and interests and ended up wanting to pursue art and design.
I did a few short courses and ended up at NSW TAFE Design Centre Enmore where I learnt a great deal of the skills I use today.
Then I applied for the Masters course at the UTS Animal Logic Academy where they said I have the skills and brought me aboard as part of their Art Department for the 2022 cohort. While there I also branched out into Lighting and Comp while taking shots at modelling, storyboarding and surfacing.
Early this year I started an internship at a smaller studio working on a feature film. Now I've been hired by that studio as a lighting, surfacing and asset artist.
I hope to eventually branch out into Art Department and am still working hard towards that goal!
