Biography
Hello! I'm Baxter! I am originally from Atlanta, GA but moved out to California over a decade ago to hone in on my drawing skills and to be closer to the studios that inspire me. I started my art journey traditionally with studio arts and helped to develop the art history program at Kennesaw State University. After that I enrolled in the Visual Development program at the Academy of Art Univeristy in San Francisco where I fell head over heels for storyboarding. I realized all the illustrations I had done were only part of a bigger story I wanted to tell and storyboarding definitely fuled that fire.
I'm also a lifelong video game fan, growing up during the rise of the greatest consoles! (Super Nintendo, you'll always be the best) I jumped at the chance to get into the industry by becoming a general 2D artist for Ubisoft and later on for TicToc Games! It has been amazing to ship a AAA game and to work with so many creative people. My ultimate dream is to work in children's animation becuase I think kid's absorb information and life skills much better when they are enjoying themselves and animation is a hoot. It can be a very positive tool for spreading kindness and that is what I hope to help it do.
