Paul MacDonald AIA is a Principal Design Architect with more than 30 years of experience in commercial architecture, specializing in large-scale hospitality, mixed-use, and office environments. Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, he is a Principal at Allen + Philp Partners, where he leads design from concept through Design Development on projects exceeding $2 billion in combined value. His client roster includes Disney, Fairmont, Hyatt, and Hilton, and his work spans master planning, resort design, and urban mixed-use development across the American Southwest and beyond.
Paul holds a BS in Technical Communication from Arizona State University, a credential that shapes his approach to design storytelling and client engagement as much as his architectural training. He is a frequent mentor to emerging design professionals, believing that the craft of architecture is best passed forward through direct collaboration and honest dialogue.
