Biography
Angelica's work specialises in 3D digital media, focusing on building immersive virtual environments that simulate a perception of the world through a neurodivergent lens. These environments are often inhabited by emotive anthropomorphised characters that find themselves in bizarre and surreal situations. Angelica’s films have been described as a “psychedelic nightmare” and demonstrative of “living in a perpetual breakdown”. Throughout her work, she uses repetitive imagery portrayed by varied combined mediums to build a layered reality, offering her viewers a multifaceted world to interact and engage with. Angelica’s previous projects are connected thematically, feeding into each-other and paving the door for the next. The titles of her 3 animated short films are ‘I am’, ‘Moving out’, ‘Again’. This theme is continued on in her latest project, a psychological horror game navigated by a character that must continually adapt and evolve to their ever-changing environment. Her marriage of game design and immersive fine art aim to resonate within the neurodivergent community and illuminate a unique perspective to allistic viewers.
