Ana Sobreira, online known as Shamatata, is a traditional artist working as a painter, muralist, and as a professor of Drawing at Politécnico do Cávado e do Ave. She has a bachelors in painting from Faculdade de Belas Artes de Lisboa and a master’s degree in Illustration and animation from IPCA. Her personal expressive artwork often explores themes related to the body and the emotional connection between the body and our own feelings of self.  Her master’s project at IPCA involved integrating her online community to crowdsource ideas for an animation from the ground up . After her master’s project her personal work began to focus more on empowering community, collaboration, and how public engagement can shape artistic outcomes, revealing more about the collective identities that we shape in society. This design vision with Ana’s artistic direction are central to the conceptual framework that gives a lens to  "PaintingForever."
