Aleksej Kostovski was born in Skopje, North Macedonia. He started drawing at a very young age. He was making up worlds and creatures and his vivid imagination was further sparked when he got introduced to the world of video games. He was constantly drawing and creating stories, characters and imaginary worlds. He continued to draw during high school and at this time he got introduced to many online concept art communities and forums where he was learning and competing in various concept art and illustration competitions. He studied graphics design at the FON University in Skopje where he got proficient in using many of the more popular graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.. During this time he participated in various group projects, exhibitions and team competitions. One of the more notable projects was “Skopje loves Ljubljana” organized by the Macedonian and Slovenian embassies, for which he created the mascots of Skopje and Ljubljana and created a short motion picture. Although successful in graphics design, he remained passionate about drawing and creating illustrations and concept designs. After graduating he started working as a freelance 2D artist and has worked on a significant number of projects for domestic and foreign clients. Most recently he co-published a children's book and started working on a personal project that involves developing an original IP, character and world designs and eventually an art book. He continues to look for new and exciting opportunities that will further his skills and allow him to be involved in many interesting projects.
