I studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts, MFA program in NYC. My first major illustration assignment was for The New York Times Op-ed page when I was still in school. Since then I have been working in the field. My work appears in papers, magazines, advertising, packaging, and more. I am also an author/illustrator of a picture book about A-bombing Survivor in Nagasaki. I have been always questioning how my creative activities can be used to motivate people to make this world a better place. I hate war. I am concerned about global warming. I care about equal rights and education. I am always wondering what art can do to create an impact on these issues and improve problematic conditions more directly... So here I am. Still being challenging to find the ways.
