Biography
I studied graphic design, as it was the closest carreer to animation I found in Argentina. And while studying I had the opportunity to do an internship at the biggest animation studio at the time in Argentina (Hook up Animation), where I got the chance to do a bit of everything. There I felt in love with storyboarding, beacuse it let me do what I like the most, telling stories, acting, framing the camera. After graduation, I was lucky enough that a new studio was formed, MundoLoco CGI. I applied for a storyboard revisionist position and I got accepted. I went from revisionist to storyboard artist during the production of Mini Beat Power Rockers, a kids show aired on DiscoveryKids. As all productions in Argentina, the studio shut down after seasson 1, waiting to get green light on seasson 2. Of course I couldn't wait, I had to look for a job so I got accepted at MediaMonks, an advertisment agancy originally from the Netherlands that was opening an office in Buenos Aires. It is an international company, so I have learn a lot on how to work with people from all arround the glove, with different ways of communicating, with different time zones. They were looking for a storyboard artist, but also a visual development/concept/illustration artist. MediaMonks does a bit of everything, so I slowly turned into a generalist, molded by the type of work that I was asked to do. It's a great experience to have at the begining of a carrer, because it gives you a taste of all the different fields, and it forces you to learn new tools and aproaches to drawing or designing visuals. But now I am seeking to speciallize.
