Biography
I have a somewhat unique story compared to the streamlined path of graduate Art School and then get a job.
I always wanted to work in animation and make Disney movies like the ones I grew up watching, but for various reasons went down a different path. I graduated from University many, many years ago (jeez I'm old now) with a Communications Degree. I worked professionally as a video editor, graphic designer and web designer, all the while still holding on to my dream.
In the last decade I discovered new forms of art education available online, so I signed up for some online art courses. I eventually quit my day job, moved to California for a short stint and did some art training at Concept Design Academy. On my return to Vancouver I was able to land my first job at an animation studio and never looked back!
I've worked on projects for Mattel, Spinmaster, Netflix and Disney+ as a concept artist, production designer, and storyboard artist.
I'm currently working on The Dragon Prince for Netflix.
I have worked in animation for the past few years, but I would love to work in other industries such as video games and film.
