Hey Everyone! In this talk, I would love to share with you what I learned about the medium "art book" while writing my bachelor's degree. I also talk about how far the medium can be stretched into a standalone project. Keeping that in mind, I created my own art book that aims to be far away from the ones that are made for, i.e., games and movies. In doing so, I learned some stuff about design rules, content, limitations, mixing genres, and creative freedom. In the end, I would love to know more about your favorite art books and why you like them. In short: - a quick overview of some design aspects: layout, symbols, patterns, and image choice. - sharing the journey of creating my own, short, non-production linked, story-based "artbook." - (if still time) talking about all the beautiful artbooks out there, just sharing and vibing.
