The role @ THE CHINESE ROOM
We are looking for an extremely talented and highly motivated Lead Artist to join us at The Chinese Room. Successful applicants must have experience of leading art teams and have completed several AAA published titles.
Within this role you will:
- Be directly responsible for delivering all aspects of the art on an exciting new original I.P.
- Take the lead in pushing the visual quality and standards to the highest level
- Have a key role in defining the art style of the new project.
- Supervise all the various art disciplines
- Assist production with estimates and scheduling
- Support and report directly to the Art Director
Requirements
We need you to have:
- Broad knowledge of Art production on AAA games
- Expert knowledge of 3D pipelines and asset management
- Comprehensive communication and planning skills
- Must have completed several AAA titles, preferably at least one as Lead Artist or similar role.
Our titles include the ground-breaking Dear Esther (2012), cult horror Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs (2013), the VR fairy-tale So Let Us Melt (2017) and the open-world adventure Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture (2015), a PlayStation 4 exclusive that won major awards across the world. This included an amazing 10 BAFTA nominations and 3 BAFTA wins.
