S&P Senior Shading Artist
Description
As a Senior Shading Artist, you will be involved in many aspects of the look, working in coordination with production designer and Art department to deliver a visually impressive look.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Paints textures utilizing photography and pre-existing textures
- Paints stylized textures from concepts following the look of the show.
- Creates procedural textures from Substance designer.
- Ability to create, adapt, and iterate, within a variety of artistic styles.
- Ability to properly research and work independently in absence of concept art
- Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technology trends and tools that best suit the production and the company, in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment
- Deep knowledge making UVs.
- Knowledge of skinning, rigging, technical constraints and optimizatio, as well as hard surface modeling.
- Works together with the team providing them with support, guidance and instruction in areas that contribute towards their artistic and professional growth.
- Follows the Supervisor’s and Lead's guidance, as well as guides and mentors other team members.
Requirements
- Over 4 years of professional experience in VFX or animation industries.
- At least 3 year of experience in the animation industry.
- Extensive experience with Mari, Maya, Substance Designer & Painter, Arnold render.
- Experience with traditional drawing, and/or painting a plus.
- High English level desirable.
