As the Characters Supervisor, you will lead and mentor your team to achieve the vision and execution of the characters for our animated feature films. You will work closely with the VFX Supervisor and the Production Department through excellent communication to provide a constructive working environment.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and inspire your team and provide solutions to manage the complexity of the characters within the scope of design.

- Work closely with other departments to ensure that the creative vision is delivered and the intended feel and look of the characters achieved.

- Manage and anticipate pipeline production needs to enhance modeling workflow and introduce new technologies or techniques to adequately manage the characters creation through all character departments on schedule and within budget.

- Establish efficient modeling techniques and set individual goals to foster team growth through understanding interests, strengths and weaknesses.

- Communicate and troubleshoot any creative or technical issues with the relevant departments.

- Implement innovative artistic methodologies and technology trends and tools to exceed industry standards, while motivating and teaching the team.

- Actively contribute to the studio’s growth by helping with recruitment needs and acting as a company ambassador with key industry players. 

- 10+ years of professional experience in VFX or animation industries

- 5+ years of experience as Supervisor in a Setup or CFX Sup 

- A strong creative/technical background as proven leader in setting direction for a production and for inspiring and motivating production staff. 

- Deep understanding of the film production process and state of the art animation and VFX processes.

- Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of animation principles, computer graphics algorithms and techniques, rendering, compositing, etc.

- Proficient in English.
